[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] (재)하동세계차엑스포조직위원회(위원장 박완수 경상남도지사, 하승철 하동군수, 이하 조직위)는 9일 도청 도정회의실에서 ‘하동세계차엑스포 실행계획 보고회’를 개최했다.

이번 보고회는 박완수 도지사를 비롯한 도 실·국 본부장, 조직위 등 50여 명이 참석한 가운데 엑스포 추진상황과 실행계획 보고, 질의 및 의견수렴 순으로 진행됐다.

박 도지사는 하동세계차엑스포 추진상황에 대해 박옥순 조직위 사무처장으로부터 보고를 받았으며, 이후 대행사로부터 차(茶)와 관련된 콘텐츠와 지역자원을 연계한 각종 프로그램을 국제행사 품격에 맞도록 진행하기 위한 실행계획 발표가 이어졌다.

박 도지사는 "차 문화와 산업이 어우러진 하동세계차엑스포 실행계획이 내실있게 준비됐다"며 "관람객 유치와 엑스포의 성공적 개최를 위해 전략적이고 체계적인 홍보와 마케팅이 이루어질 수 있도록 힘써 달라”고 당부했다.

한편, 2023하동세계차엑스포는 차(茶) 분야에서 최초로 정부 승인을 받은 국제행사로 경상남도와 하동군이 공동주최하고 (재)하동세계차엑스포조직위원회가 주관한다. ‘자연의 향기, 건강한 미래, 차(茶)’를 주제로 오는 5월 4일부터 6월 3일까지 31일간 하동스포츠파크와 하동야생차문화축제장에서 개최된다.
